About 20 × 20 island
An island has no back wall. Every wall is a front wall — every angle of approach has to deliver brand and message. The simplest approach is a four-sided central tower or kiosk in the middle of the booth, with product or interactive zones around it. The most elaborate is a fully custom build with integrated millwork, lighting, and architectural features. Plan for hanging signage, lighting, and electrical infrastructure that small booths don't need.
A 20×20 island runs three-to-five times the budget of a 10×10 — not double, because of the additional accessories, lighting, hanging signs, and labor required for the larger footprint. Plan eight to twelve weeks of lead time minimum, with twelve to sixteen weeks comfortable for custom builds. Most 20×20 installs at major North American convention centers require union I&D, additional electrical drops, and venue rigging for hanging signs.
