Food & Beverage Tradeshow Booths

Food and beverage tradeshows are sensory events. Sampling, scent, color, and atmosphere matter more than at any other category of show. Our F&B booths integrate the practical requirements — sampling counters, refrigeration access, washable surfaces — without sacrificing the appetizing visual presentation that wins the floor.

Deep dive

How food & beverage exhibits actually work.

What food and beverage booths need

The single most-overlooked requirement at F&B tradeshows is a properly designed sampling counter. The counter has to be food-service-height (approximately 36 inches), have a hand-washable surface, accommodate behind-counter sample preparation, and ideally integrate with the venue's water and power infrastructure if you're plating fresh. Premium F&B booths add a refrigerated under-counter unit (we partner with rental companies that drop one in for the show duration) and overhead warming lamps for hot food sampling.

Recommended displays for F&B shows

A 10×20 peninsula with an L-shaped counter configuration is the workhorse for F&B shows like SIAL, the Restaurants Canada Show, or the Toronto Food and Beverage Expo. The L counter gives you both a customer-facing sampling face and a behind-counter prep zone. Pair with a backlit hero wall for product photography (food reads photo-realistically only with backlit illumination — flat-fabric food photography looks dull) and feature a chalkboard or printed menu panel on a side wall for sampling rotation throughout the day.

Washable graphics and surface durability

Food spills are inevitable. We use our wipe-clean coated tension-fabric line on all sampling-counter-adjacent panels — the same material rated for restaurant-bathroom-grade cleanability. Counter tops are laminate or solid-surface, not fabric. Floor mats are food-service-grade rubber. Avoid white or light fabric anywhere within four feet of the sampling counter — the staining is constant and visible.

Health-department and venue compliance

Most food and beverage tradeshow venues require a temporary food-service permit from the local health department for any booth doing live preparation (hot food, fresh-cutting, espresso pulls). We provide booth diagrams that satisfy permit application requirements and coordinate with your team on health-department submissions. Allow four to six weeks of lead time for permits.

Food & Beverage — FAQ

Can you build a booth with a built-in sampling counter?

Yes. Our modular and tension-fabric kits include a 36-inch food-service-height counter option with laminate or solid-surface tops for wipe-down cleanability.

Do you handle refrigerated under-counter rentals?

We coordinate with show-floor rental partners to drop refrigerated under-counter units at your booth. Confirmed at order — typically a $300–$700 add for the show duration.

Are the graphics washable?

Sampling-counter-adjacent panels use our wipe-clean coated fabric, rated for repeated commercial cleaning.
