Automotive & Mobility Tradeshow Booths

Automotive tradeshows revolve around the vehicle. The booth's job is to make the car or motorcycle the hero — every structural and lighting decision should serve that goal.

Deep dive

How automotive & mobility exhibits actually work.

When the product is a vehicle

Auto shows are unique because the product is typically too large to fit inside a standard 10×10 booth and too high-value to be hidden behind brand graphics. The booth design pattern shifts: an open-floor 20×30 or larger booth with the vehicle staged at the center, branded backwall behind it, and floor-to-ceiling brand pillars at the front aisle marking the booth's edges. Hanging signs become essential — at major auto shows, ceiling rigging is the only way attendees can find your brand from across a half-million-square-foot hall.

Recommended displays for auto and mobility shows

Custom-built or large-format modular for 20×30 and above. Hanging sign in custom geometry (circle, square, or branded silhouette) for hall-wide wayfinding. Floor-to-ceiling brand pillars at front aisle. Backwall for product narrative (specifications, heritage, model history). Programmable lighting to spotlight the vehicle and create dramatic photo moments. For EV brands specifically, allocate booth space for a charging-cable demonstration or interactive battery-tech display.

Vehicle staging, lighting, and photography

Stage lighting on the vehicle is the single highest-impact investment in any automotive booth. Standard convention center fluorescents flatten a car's design surfaces; targeted spotlights from above and front-angled accent lighting on the vehicle's lines bring out the contours that the design team spent years engineering. We coordinate with rental lighting partners for any auto booth at major North American auto shows. For brand activations at events where social-share matters (LA Auto Show, SEMA), specify a turntable for the vehicle — slow rotation creates content for every attendee photographing the car from any angle.

EV and mobility-specific requirements

EV and mobility events have evolved separately from traditional auto shows. The product mix often includes prototype vehicles, battery-tech displays, autonomous-driving demos, and interactive charging stations. Your booth needs to handle all of them simultaneously without feeling crowded. We design EV-focused booths with modular zones — a hero vehicle zone, a tech demo zone, a charging-experience zone, and a brand storytelling zone — connected by intentional traffic-flow paths.

Automotive & Mobility — FAQ

Can you accommodate vehicle staging in the booth design?

Yes. We design booths around the vehicle's footprint and stage requirements, with floor protection, lighting integration, and rotational platform options.

Do you coordinate stage lighting?

We partner with on-site lighting rental providers at all major North American auto shows. Confirm lighting requirements at booth design time.

Can you build for an EV charging demonstration?

Yes. We coordinate with the show's electrical contractor for the additional power infrastructure and integrate the demo physically into the booth flow.
